Recording preparations
Press a status key to set the role of a track
fader and change the color of the track indi-
cator light. The track indicator colors show the
status as follows.

PLAY
Playback ready
MUTE
Sound disabled
HINT
• InordertosendthesignalfromanINPUT to a
recordingtrack,pressits statuskey1–2times
until the track indicator lights red.
• Tousetwoinputspressbothstatuskeysto
connect both to tracks.
•Tocreateone stereofilewhenrecordingtwo
tracks set a stereo link.
• IftheMASTER track is set to PLAY, all other tracks
will be set to MUTE(nosound).
HINT
• Thetrackpairsthancanbejoinedwithstereolink
are:1/2,3/4,5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14,15/16,
17/18,19/20,21/22and23/24
• Stereolinkchangesthesettingfromtwo mono
tracks to one stereo track.
• Whatevertracknumberyouchoose,anadjacent
track will be linked. You cannot change these
combinations.
• Toadjustthevolumeofapairoftracksjoinedby
stereo link, use the odd number fader. The even
number fader has no effect.
• Thepanparameterofapairoftracksjoinedby
stereo link can be used to adjust their relative
volume balance.
• Stereolescanbeassignedtotracksjoinedby
stereo link. The left channel is sent to the odd
track and the right is sent to the even track.
